Today was the day that Michael and August would finally learn the sex of their baby. She was now 20 weeks pregnant, and Michael was at her 'beck and call.' He made sure never to miss a doctor's appointment and he even signed them up for private Lamaze classes.
They arrived at the hospital extra early, for they couldn't bear another minute of not knowing if the baby was a boy or a girl.
"Hello! Are you two ready for the big reveal?" Dr. Evans asked cheerfully.
"Yes! We are so excited," August replied, as she grasped Michael's hand.
As Dr. Evans prepped August for the ultrasound, he asked her how she was feeling during her pregnancy.
"I've been feeling good so far! The baby likes to dance at night, and that has kept me awake on occasion, but it's to be expected, considering who the daddy is," she chuckled, pointing towards Michael.
"I'm sure you have a very a musical home. Did you know that babies can hear music and sounds outside of the womb?" Dr. Evans informed.
"Yes! Whenever we play music, or he sings, the baby throws it's own personal dance party," August replied, smiling brightly.
When the ultrasound image appeared on the screen, August became giddy with anticipation.
"Congratulations! It's a girl," Dr. Evans exclaimed happily.
"Haha! Looks like you were right all along sweetheart. I can't wait to meet our little princess," Michael spoke tenderly, as he gave August's hand a light squeeze.
"I can't wait to meet her, either! Paris and I will now be even with you, boys!" she rejoiced.
After they returned home from the hospital, Michael decided that it was time to let Lisa know that he knew of her involvement with Tai. He thought about calling her, but he didn't want to give her the satisfaction of speaking to him, so he decided to send her a letter instead.
Hi Lisa, this is Michael Jackson writing. Since you're so worried about my life, I wanted to be the first to tell you that my future wife and I are having a little girl. By the way, I know about you and Tai. If you really love your new husband, you'll want to stay away from August and me. I have all of your phone records and text to Tai and will not hesitate to send them to your husband. Since you like pictures so much, I have included a photo of me and August's baby. Take care and focus on your own life! You have been warned
Feeling a sense of peace after writing the letter, He sighed heavily. He didn't have time to play games with Lisa or anyone else for that matter. It was now time for him to focus solely on his new wife and expanding family.
The letter Michael had written to Lisa arrived at her home a few days later. Since she wasn't home to receive the mail, her husband Michael Lockwood opened it instead. After reading Michael Jackson's letter, he was furious. When Lisa arrived home that night, he confronted her about it.
"Lisa! What in the hell is going on between you and Michael Jackson? And who is Tai?" He fumed furiously before she could even take her jacket off.
"What are you talking about?" She replied, with a puzzled expression on her face.
"I'm talking about this letter that Michael Jackson wrote to you," he yelled while shaking the piece of paper in her face.
"Let me see that!" She said, snatching the letter out of his hand.
"Shit!" She mouthed silently to herself.
Being at a loss for words, Lisa sat down on the sofa as her husband continued to question her.
"Are you still in love with him?" He shouted.
Lisa knew in her heart that she still had unrequited feelings for Michael, but she didn't want to admit it.
"Answer me! Do you still love him?" Her husband shouted once more."
I... I..." She stuttered, not wanting to tell him the truth.
"Just as I thought!" he scoffed.
Lisa tried to hug him, but he backed away from her as she stretched out her arms towards him.
"Until you give me an honest answer, I'll be staying at a hotel," he said through gritted teeth, as he stormed out of the house.
"Please don't go!" She cried, suddenly slumping down to the floor.
As she sat on the ground contemplating everything that she had done, the old adage: "What goes around, comes around" played continuously in her head.
Over the next several weeks, Michael and August prepared for their wedding. They were 'over the moon' about their upcoming nuptials but also at their wits end with the planning of it all.
"Let's just elope!" Michael teased as he looked over the guestlist for their wedding. "Baby... How many family members do you have? Damn!
"Just as many as you!" she retorted, playfully rolling her eyes.
"Don't you have some cousins you don't like or something? We can't invite everyone! Neverland is huge, but due to zoning, there is no way we can invite this many people," he said while shaking his head sideways.
"Ok, baby, we'll figure this out. What if I cut 50 guests from my list, and you do the same?" She proposed.
"Deal!" He shouted, pulling her into his lap for a long passionate kiss.
Michael and August broke apart from their kiss, as they discovered Blanket standing there watching them silently
"Is everything ok, Blanket?" Michael asked concernedly.
"Why are you and Ms. August always kissing?" He questioned, as a grimace spread upon his small features.
"This type of kissing is for adults only, remember?" Michael responded quickly.
"But why?" Blanket questioned further, still looking perplexed.
"Because! Only grown-ups are allowed to kiss this way when they love each other very much. Got it?" Michael stated firmly.
"Got it, daddy!" Blanket shouted as he left the room, returning to play with his brother and sister downstairs.
"August! Why don't you ever help me answer those difficult types of questions?" He chuckled lightly.
"Michael, You're an amazing father, and I know you can handle it. Besides... I like watching you squirm," she said giggling, as she kissed his neck softly.
"Hold that thought, baby, I'll be right back," he said, helping August to her feet.
"Michael! Where are you going?" She called out to him as he approached the door.
After Michael returned from locking the door, he pulled August back into his lap and whispered, "now, where were we?"
